Mud Creek Riparian Restoration (2011)

This project installed 2,000 feet of fencing and restored 1.5 acres of riparian habitat with native plants. The project restores riparian habitat which stabilizes stream banks, provides stream shading, nutrients and food to the aquatic food web and filters pollutants. The project prevents cattle damage to the stream side banks and vegetation while also moving livestock waste away from the water sources. This project was funded by the WA Department of Ecology and the Coastal Protection Fund.
